VRDye™ 490 Goat anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody
Applications
VRDye 490 Secondary Antibodies can be used for a variety of applications, including Western blotting, immunofluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and others. Visit the LI-COR® website (licorbio.com) for more information.
VRDye 490 Goat (polyclonal) anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) (P/N 926-49010) is suitable for multiplex labeling experiments when combined with other secondary antibodies labeled with proper fluorescent dyes and when using instrumentation with appropriate excitation and detection capabilities. For example, two- or three-color detection can be achieved by multiplexing VRDye 490 Secondary Antibodies with IRDye® 680RD or IRDye 680LT and IRDye 800CW secondary antibodies for detection on the Odyssey M Imager or Odyssey F Imager.

When ready for use, prepare a 1.0 mg/mL stock solution by reconstituting contents of vial with 0.5 mL sterile distilled water. Mix gently by inverting. Allow to rehydrate for at least 30 minutes before use. Centrifuge product if solution is not completely transparent after standing at room temperature. Immediately dilute stock solution as recommended for each specific application prior to use. Do not re-use product.
Suggested Dilution Ranges
Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. Optimum dilutions will vary and should be determined empirically.

Purity and Specificity
Isolation of specific antibodies was accomplished by affinity chromatography using pooled mouse IgG covalently linked to agarose. Based on ELISA and flow cytometry, this antibody reacts with heavy and light chains of mouse IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3 and light chains of mouse IgM and IgA. This antibody was tested by dot blot and/or solid phase adsorbed for minimal cross-reactivity with human, rabbit, goat, rat, and horse serum proteins but may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species. The conjugate has been specifically tested and qualified for immunofluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and Western blot applications.
